International
Union of Romanian Women, UNIFERO,
Inc. is a non profit and non
governmental organization, established in Atlanta, The United States
of America two years ago.
It dedicates its activities to the
identification and solution finding for difficult situations that
women all over the world, and in particular the Romanian women, are
confronted with. Our constituents are women of different ages,
professional background, religious denomination, ethnicity, and
residence who need help in finding their way for the inclusion in our
society, recognition of their qualities and potential, for the
benefit of the global family. We have received messages from
representatives of different gender organizations, businesses,
members of the Atlanta Consular Corp, Chambers of Commerce, other
institutions, and supporters from all over the world who are
involved in activities aiming at finding solutions for the problems
that this important segment of the global civil society, women, are
facing.
Since 2002 when I found it necessary to found an
organization that would become the platform and voice for the
Romanian women inside and outside the country, an organization in
which any and all women from all over the world can find their place,
regardless of their residence, ethnicity, social status, professional
background, interests, age, or religious belief.The birth certificate
of UNIFERO was signed in February 2007. I was joined in this
voluntary action by people representing countries like Romania,
Republic of Moldova, France, Israel, Italy, Germany, Spain.
Mariana Valentina Gusetu, Viorel Maier, Sisila Duldurescu, Vitalia
PAVLICENCO, Raisa PADUREAN, and Florentina BAN were the front
runners.I invite you to be with us in the effort of this organization
whose goals are: Inclusion and identification of our strengths·
Encouragement for the use of women’s
capacity to make the world a better place to live· Maximum usage of
their qualities and skills as good diplomats, researchers, mothers,
wives, good evaluators and creators of an appropriate peaceful
environment· Support for finding the right place on the work market·
Gaining and exchange of professional and life experience·
Identification of problems with which we are confronted· Finding
solutions at community, national, and international levels for
the benefits of humanity· The estimation and evaluation of the
actual women’s rights that societies over the world grant, and also
their effectiveness· Support education for durable and healthy
families, against domestic violence, abuse, neglect, humiliation, and
human traffickingWe are confronted with multiple problems now maybe
more than ever. However, our hope is that together we will be
able to evaluate and resolveissues like arrogance of some members of
the opposite gender, medieval mentalities, overworked and overloaded
workplace environment. Each one of us is part of the general engine
that cannot function at its real potential if any of us is missing.As
veterans for the benefit of a country, a family or of the whole world
we recognize and celebrate you who witness and support the flight of
the Phoenix.With UNIFERO dreams can become reality.
